About the Luckenbooth Circle.
Luckenbooth is a fun and supportive social dance that takes place on the third Friday of every month from September through to April.
We walk all dances through, but appreciate it if people have taken the time to have a look at them before coming (scottish-country-dancing-dictionary.com). Some clubs (including Reel Club) practice the dances beforehand.
Programmes and cribs are available on this website at least a month prior to the event.
We break halfway though for a shared supper. Please bring your own food, which you can share, if you wish, with others on your table. Also please bring your own plate, mug and cutlery. Hot drinks are provided, and there will be snacks provided on each table.
News.
Our Christmas dance will be fun for everyone, but is particularly suitable for those who are less experienced, nervous or fairly new to Scottish country dancing. All dances will be walked through and there will be interval entertainment. Entry is free but there will be an option to make a donation to Crisis at Christmas who will receive all profits from the evening.
We really look forward to welcoming you at Luckenbooth. For further information, contact Lynne Kentish – 07786 091775 – lynne.kentish@talk21.com
In January 2024, we will have a ‘Desert Island Dance’, so let us know what your favourite dance is. The ‘Top 12’ will be on the programme.
We will also be holding a joint Burns supper with the Southgate Community Centre.
