About the Luckenbooth Circle.
Luckenbooth is a fun and supportive social dance that takes place on the third Friday of every month from September through to May.
We walk all dances through, but appreciate it if people have taken the time to have a look at them before coming (scottish-country-dancing-dictionary.com). Some clubs (including Reel Club) practice the dances beforehand.
Programmes and cribs are available on this website at least a month prior to the event.
We break halfway though for a shared supper. Please bring your own food, which you can share, if you wish, with others on your table. Also please bring your own plate, mug and cutlery. Hot drinks are provided, and there will be snacks provided on each table.
News.
The 2024/25 season is upon us, with our first session on 20th September; thereafter every third Friday up to and including May 2025.
This season's highlights will include a St Andrew’s dance in November, and a Burns Supper in January, both with live music. And there will be special Christmas and May dances to encourage less experienced dancers to come along and get a taste of just how enjoyable social dances can be.
