About the Luckenbooth Circle.

Luckenbooth is a fun and supportive social dance that takes place on the third Friday of every month from September through to April. We walk all dances through, but appreciate it if people have taken the time to have a look at them before coming (scottish-country-dancing-dictionary.com). Some clubs (including Reel Club) practice the dances beforehand.
Programmes and cribs are available on this website at least a month prior to the event.

We break halfway though for a shared supper. Please bring your own food, which you can share, if you wish, with others on your table. Also please bring your own plate, mug and cutlery. Hot drinks are provided, and there will be snacks provided on each table.

News.

The Luckenbooth 2023/24 season has come to an end, but what a finale! We had a fantastic turn out for our mini May Ball, which gave new and nervous dancers the opportunity to participate in an evening of social dancing and for experienced dancers just to relax and do familiar and well-loved dances.

This past year has been brilliant with numbers starting to increase again. Highlights included our St Andrew's night dance with wonderful musicians Keith Smith and Anne-Laure Latour, a Christmas 'bash', including entertainment from sensational magician Fergus Roy, a 'Desert Island Dances' featuring everyone's absolute favourite dances of all time, and a Burns Supper dance in collaboration with the Southgate Community and live music from the excellent Caledonian Reelers.

We very much look forward to seeing you for an exciting 2024/5 season which will start again on Friday 20th September.

In the meantime, check out the Reel Club page for details of classes that are continuing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Thanks for all your support and see you in September.
